Philippine Literacy Festival 47 Events for Free - Workshops, Talks, Lectures, Panel Discusssions and more.

As a homeschooling mom I always try to scout for Free Events and Educational Workshops where we can join. And we are so excited about the upcoming Philippine Literacy Festival.

Raffles Hotel Makati and National Book Store are bringing the second Philippine Literary Festival on Aug 28-30 here in Manila.

Forty-seven events that include book signings, panel discussions, storytelling, comic book exhibitions and signing, lectures and workshops and a couple of film screenings will be Open for the Public. To check all the events please check Events of the Philippine Literacy Festival.
The best part about all of these ? They’re all for free. It's like a Dream Come True for those who love Books. It's a very Educational Event and the Homeshchooling Community can come as a group on this day for a Field Trip.
You just have to register at 9am, every day.
Abbey Sy who wrote ABC's of Handwriting will be holding a Workshop and Book Signing on Aug 29.

The author of The Silver Linings Playbook, Matthew Quick is headlining the event together with Meg Wolitzer, who penned The Interestings, among other things.

Quick will have a talk and book signing on Aug 30 at 2pm, while Wolitzer will have her talk and book signing session a day earlier on Aug 29 at 2pm.
These are some of the events on August 28, 2015 from the Philippine Literacy Festival Website.

On August 28, 2015 Ambeth R. Ocampo will be having a talk and book signing and again this is Free.

We are excited to join the Philippine Literacy Festival. We are expecting it will be an event that will cultivate the Arts, Culture, and Language.
